Going GreenAs we are everywhere, here at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, Heathcotes is enthusiastic about minimising its environmental impact as much as possible. ‘Green' energy consumption, packaging and waste disposal, for example, are priorities. We also source and serve organic and local produce wherever and whenever required. Indeed, we were one of the first major catering companies in the North West to create menus using local and regional produce. Fresh, free range corn-fed Goosnargh duck, chicken from Reg Johnson, and Morecambe Bay potted shrimps provided by Openshaws in Bolton are just some of the local delights that can be found on our extensive menus at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse. As a rule, we only buy from local or national suppliers whose ethical and environmental credentials are in keeping with our own. We are also working hard to make sure all our menus, here, are printed on 100% recycled paper. We have reduced the number of lorry deliveries, too. So here at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, you can be assured: We are just as committed to the environment as we are to our many clients.
