Welcome to Bangor-on-Dee!

Heathcotes at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse means the best event catering and management at one of the country’s most popular steeplechase and hurdle racing venues. Here, we are pleased to offer a hospitality experience that is both exciting and different. Corporate and social functions, weddings, charity galas, sporting dinners, special occasions, family celebrations – you name it, we will turn it into a special event.

Set in the glorious countryside of the Welsh Hills through which the ancient River Dee find its own way in its own time, the racecourse takes its name from the historic village of Bangor-on-Dee. Originally opened in 1859, today Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse provides a popular venue for business, social, sporting or family events.

As we do at all our venues, here at Bangor-on-Dee we offer both formal and casual bespoke dining. We provide it on race days and non-race days, at lunch time, dinner time, supper time or whenever suits you. And ‘bespoke’ means just that. Here, we encourage your input to create the menu. Then we get to work. Or you can leave it to Paul Heathcote’s world class trained chefs instead; because you can rely on them to create imaginative, delicious dishes. Special dietary requirements are no problem. We are always happy to accommodate you. Whatever your wishes, Paul Heathcote’s food combines fresh local produce with international experience and flare to create a culinary experience to remember.
